We made it to Krakow with almost no problem, and the only problem we *did* have was indeed minor.
We left the house for Bournemouth airport at about 1300 and made it there by about 1345, whch was a BIIIIG improvement over the 4 hours we had to drive to get to London Stanstead for our trip to Rome. Bournemouth International Airport is pretty small, but it was quite functional, clean and non-crowded. After an easy check in and easy pass thru security, we made it on board out EasyJet flight with no incident, and there were even lots of spare seats too, so we got to spread out.
We made it to Krakow Balice airport almost 15 minutes early, an the guy that was supposed to be meeting us wasn't there. See, we were supposed to have a guy standing there with a placard that says 'BLAKELY', but no joy in Mudville. I figgered he just hadn't arrived because we were early, so we stood around for about 25 minutes before we gave up and headed for the taxi rank.
We got a van-taxi no problem, and 70 Polish Zloty later (about $28) later we were at our building - #95 Josef Dietla. I rang up apartment #7, someone answered and buzzed us in, and the next thing we knew we were in posession of this cool 2 bedroom apartment in an old-world-y building that could be straight out of Schindler's List or The Third Man. Very cool indeed.
After we got settled, we headed down to the main square and had a very nice meal for cheap - about $40 for all 4 of us - and now it's time t rest. See you tomorrow!
